Ricky Padilla

Legacy Orange County Coach Ricky Padilla has over 20 years of wrestling experience and is finishing his first official year coaching at the collegiate level at Vanguard University. Before that, he has helped coach at Various high school programs and youth clubs.

Coach Ricky Padilla was a 3x California State qualifier, a California state Placewinner, a 2x Masters Champion, a multiple time high school All American, and a past Freestyle Fargo All-American. Ricky wrestled for Coaches Sam Barber, Chris Heilman, and Tim Alger at the Air Force Academy, and Coaches Troy Stiener, Izzy Silva, Jason Chamberlain, and Joe Colon at Fresno State before transferring to Vanguard University to wrestle for Coaches Caleb Flores and Kevin Kelly. At the D1 level Ricky beat multiple ranked opponents and competed at the Big 12 tournament as a freshman, once earning Big 12 wrestler of the week, coming top 12 at the prestigious Cliff Keen Invite in Las Vegas, and 4th place at the Reno Tournament of Champions. At Vanguard University Ricky placed 3rd at the Reno Tournament of Champions and was a 2x NAIA All American (4th, and 2nd) for the Lions. With an overall college record of 92-38.

There is nothing Ricky knows better than wrestling, and with his passion for teaching and coaching, he has the opportunity to spread his knowledge to kids of all levels. Ricky is excited to start the journey of Legacy Wrestling Center Orange County and is excited to have you apart of the family.

Armon Fayyazi

Coach Armon Fayyazi has a wealth of knowledge and has over 13 years of wrestling experience. In high school Coach Armon was a multiple time CIF placer a masters placer and a CIF state qualifier. Post high school Coach Armon wrestled for Vince Silva at Santa Ana college where he was a two time all American. He then wrestled division 1 at then university of Wyoming. Lastly, he finished his career and last 3 years of eligibility at vanguard university under coach Caleb Flores where he was a 3 time all American for the Lions.

Coach Armon is one of the very few wrestlers in the country that can say they are a 5x Collegiate All American. Coach Armon has recently completed his first year coaching at Vanguard University where he coached 6 national qualifiers and 1 national champion. He has experience coaching at all levels ranging from 5 year old and up. Coach Armon is most exited about giving back to the wrestling community and building something great here in Orange County.
